Created as a way to transport materials safely over the seven seas, shipping containers have been used on dry land for decades. Today, high-quality storage containers are ideal solutions for a variety of short- and long-term applications. At Container Stop, we love hearing about all the new ideas and specializations people have for storage shipping containers.
We offer several different grades of containers, in both standard and customizable sizes. Grades refer to the shape the container is in. The highest grade containers have been used just a few times, with no rust spots, straight edges, and nearly new floors. Basically a step down from brand new.
Interested in using storage shipping containers as a tiny home or ADU? For living quarters, accessory dwelling units, or construction site offices, these are the containers to consider because of their overall appearance straight lines. All of our containers, however, will survive the storm as we like to say.
If the purpose of your storage container is a portable storage unit, dropping down a grade or two may make more sense. These containers will have varying degrees of dings, spots of rust, or “well-lived” floors. However, all of our containers, no matter the grade, are wind and watertight guaranteed.
The largest containers we offer are 45 feet long, but we can customize a container down to almost any size. Our smallest container solution was for a campground: They needed a five-foot container to house a washer and dryer for laundry. Standard 40’, 20’, and 10’ storage containers are the most common requests.
Accessory Dwelling Units – Swept up in the tiny home craze, 40-foot storage containers offer more than 300 square feet of room. With the ability to add walls, insulation, plumbing, and electricity, the shell is already in place. Just tell us where you want the doors, windows, and the rest of the layout. The list below shows some of the options we can create:
Temporary Construction Office – Container Stop also rents out shipping containers for storage and other uses. Large commercial or residential developments can take up to a year to complete. With a shipping container office, you’ll be able to easily move your office during different phases with a forklift or crane. When the job is completed, we’ll come and get it!
Storage – The most common uses for the containers is storage. The containers are ideal for just about anything that needs to be protected from the elements. Shipping containers are easy to secure and provide easy access to the contents inside. These units can also be climate-controlled, perfect for cold storage uses.
Pop Up Shops – From 10 feet to 40 feet, our shipping containers can be cut to custom lengths to give you the space you need. We can add shelving, cooktops, sinks, and everything else you need. You just need to be able to hook up to the utilities.
Our used shipping containers for sale can be modified for hundreds of solutions. One thing our 20’ storage containers for sale can’t do is fit in a 15-foot space. When considering uses for a storage container, don’t forget about where it will be placed.
While Container Stop delivers all over California and the Pacific Northwest, we need to have the room to place your container. If possible, we will conduct a site evaluation. If we don’t have the space to maneuver, we will place the container as close as possible. Interested in standard containers or something a little more stylized? Let us know what you’re looking for.
